State Farm General Counsel Joins WLF’s Legal Policy Advisory Board
(Washington, D.C.)—Washington Legal Foundation and the Chair of its Legal Policy Advisory Board, Jay B. Stephens, are pleased to announce the appointment of Keesha-Lu Mitra, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, to WLF’s advisory board.
Keesha-Lu assumed her current position in 2024. She has overall responsibility for the Department, including the Corporate Law division which handles litigation and legislative and regulatory affairs, and provides legal counsel to the organization. She also manages the Claim Litigation Counsel division. Keesha-Lu has served in a variety of roles and sections within the Law Department, moving into leadership in 2016 and becoming Vice President – Counsel in 2020. She is a product of the Law Department’s internship program, joining State Farm in 1989 upon graduating from law school.
