Samsung v. Peters

On May 7, 2026, WLF urged the Supreme Court to grant certiorari and reverse a Minnesota state court’s claim of personal jurisdiction over Samsung for an injury caused by a third-party actor’s intentional “jailbreaking” misuse of the company’s product. WLF’s brief counseled that the Court should take the case to impose bright-line rules for personal jurisdiction and create a welcoming business environment to encourage “friend-shoring.”
