On February 12, 2026, WLF urged the Judicial Conference’s Advisory Committee on Evidence to reject a proposed amendment to the Federal Rules of Evidence. WLF noted that while the goals of the proposed rule—preventing unreliable AI-derived “evidence” from reaching juries—are laudable, the rule’s text undermines that mission and would open the door to more unreliable testimony, not less.
