In re Nonlawyer Law Firm Ownership and Fee-Sharing

 On April 30, 2026, WLF urged the Tennessee Supreme Court to maintain longstanding prohibitions on nonlawyer ownership of law firms and fee-sharing with nonlawyers. In a joint comment with other leading civil-justice reform groups, WLF contends that weakening these vital safeguards is unlikely to increase access to justice and would invite outside financial interests whose primary goal is a return on investment.
