Combating Litigation Abuse
WLF litigators advocate to restore balance to the nation’s civil justice system and to protect the rights and interests of consumers. WLF demands that plaintiffs’ lawyers are held to the exacting standards that govern civil litigation, class actions, expert evidence, punitive damages, and personal jurisdiction.

Economic & Individual Liberties
WLF remains at the vanguard of a movement to restore “business civil liberties,” advocating in courts, regulatory agencies, and through public education to safeguard commercial-speech and private-property rights. We are also a leader in opposing the criminalization of free enterprise and defending the due-process rights of all market actors.

Pro Bono Opportunities
WLF impacts major legal policies through an array of well-established advocacy tools. WLF litigates precedent-setting issues before courts and administrative agencies; publishes and distributes timely and influential legal studies; and communicates with policymakers and simplifies legal issues to raise public consciousness and involve citizens in the policy process.
As an independent, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization, WLF relies on the charitable support of individuals, corporations, foundations, and others. Gifts to WLF are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by the law.
