Assistant Communications Director

Washington Legal Foundation seeks a full- or part-time assistant communications director to support its Legal Studies Division. Responsibilities include innovative marketing of WLF’s public interest message through traditional and new media; identifying, expanding, and maintaining outreach lists; researching and analyzing judicial, regulatory, and corporate developments; and editing legal policy publications, press releases, and blog commentaries. Ideal candidate possesses a marketing background; exhibits initiative with excellent writing and communications skills; demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media and Internet tools; and is organized and capable of balancing numerous responsibilities at once. Law Clerk

Washington Legal Foundation (WLF) seeks a part-time law clerk for the fall/spring semester in our litigation division (second and third year law students only). Duties include legal research and writing, assisting in preparing briefs and submitting regulatory comments, and some light administrative duties. Top 25% and law journal preferred. Salary is commensurate with qualifications. Public Affairs Assistant/Intern

Washington Legal Foundation (WLF) seeks a part-time intern beginning in January 2015. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing the front desk, proofreading nationally distributed legal policy publications, and maintaining WLF’s Raiser’s Edge database. 15 hours a week minimum (availability on Mondays and Fridays a plus). Pay commensurate with experience. This internship is especially suited for DC area college students interested in non-profit policy work.
