Daniel A. Rubens
  • Danny is a partner in the New York office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. He handles high stakes appeals and critical motions in courts across the nation, with a focus on the financial services and technology sectors. Danny is a member of the Second Circuit's pro bono panel and maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on criminal, immigration, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ rights matters in the Supreme Court and other appellate courts. Along with several Orrick colleagues, Danny drafted two amicus briefs for WLF in a securities-fraud class-action case in which the Court has granted certiorari for its October Term 2024. He served as a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Judge Robert A. Katzmann of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and Judge Jed S. Rakoff of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

  • Elizabeth is Director of Constitutional Scholarship at Pacific Legal Foundation. She leads a team that incubates and promotes legal theories among elite legal audiences to prepare the ground for courts and policymakers to uphold the rule of law, consistent with Pacific Legal Foundation’s vision of the Constitution. Elizabeth's opinion pieces have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, National Review Online, SCOTUSblog, and many other outlets. She has testified before Congress and is a frequent legal commentator in print, radio, and television. And she has produced two podcasts on the US Supreme Court and chronicles Supreme Court happenings at SCOTUS Ladies.

Michael B. Kimberly
  • Michael B. Kimberly is a Partner with Mayer Brown LLP where he briefs and argues complex appeals and trial-court motions with primary focus on the antitrust laws, environmental law, and constitutional law. Mr. Kimberly has argued appeals in courts throughout the country, including three times in the U.S. Supreme Court, three times before the en banc courts of appeals, and numerous other times before three-judge appeals court panels. He co-directs the Yale Law School Supreme Court Clinic and served as a law clerk for U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Judge Michael Daly Hawkins.
