In Re: Freedom of Information Act Request to CMS

On May 23, 2017, WLF submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to CMS seeking more information about The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Healthcare Fraud Prevention Partnership (HFPP) committee. This committee was formed to help develop strategies to address opioid misuse. The FOIA request asks for information to ensure that HFPP is in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act. With this information, WLF hopes to gain a better understanding of what role HFPP plays in the development of CMS opioid misuse strategies.
