Washington Legal Foundation Launches New Website and Refreshed Brand Ahead of 50th Anniversary
“For nearly 50 years, Washington Legal Foundation has advanced free enterprise and the rule of law through principled advocacy and rigorous legal work. As we approach this milestone, our updated website reflects both the strength of our legacy and our commitment to engaging audiences clearly and effectively in the years ahead.”
—Constance Claffey Larcher, WLF President & Chief Executive Officer
Washington Legal Foundation (WLF) today announced the launch of a newly redesigned website and refreshed visual identity, marking a significant milestone as the organization approaches its 50th anniversary. As the ways people access, consume, and engage with information continue to evolve, WLF recognizes that how its work is presented matters as much as the work itself.
The redesign began with an update to WLF’s logo—an evolution that reflects both continuity and purpose. The new mark incorporates elements of WLF’s longstanding circular logo alongside a courthouse image used in the Foundation’s earlier history, reinforcing WLF’s enduring focus on the courts and the rule of law. The updated typography evokes permanence and durability, underscoring the principles that have guided WLF’s work for nearly five decades and will continue to do so in the years ahead.
The website redesign was driven by three clear objectives: to make WLF’s work easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to engage with—without compromising the depth, rigor, and credibility that define its role in the legal community. Rather than a cosmetic refresh, the new website represents a strategic evolution grounded in clarity, relevance, and mission.
By integrating WLF’s litigation, scholarship, and advocacy under a cohesive brand and digital platform, the redesigned website reinforces WLF’s position as a leading independent, nonpartisan authority on free enterprise.
