Shay heads the Supreme Court and Appellate Litigation Group in Skadden Arps' Washington, DC office. He represents clients in a wide range of appellate matters in the U.S. Supreme Court, federal courts of appeals, and state appellate courts. He has argued 13 times before the Supreme Court. Shay clerked for Justice Antonin Scalia of the U.S. Supreme Court and Judge J. Michael Luttig of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
