DE supreme courtWashington Legal Foundation congratulates Leo V. Strine, Jr., Chancellor on the Delaware Court of Chancery, on his nomination to be Chief Justice of Delaware.

In 2005, Chancellor Strine authored a widely read Working Paper for WLF’s Legal Studies Division, The Delaware Way: How We Do Corporate Law And New Challenges For Free Market Economies.

Chancellor Strine has had a significant influence over the development of corporate law in Delaware.  If confirmed to the Delaware Supreme Court, that influence will certainly grow. As the Wall Street Journal noted, “The Delaware Supreme Court is the final arbiter of many corporate disputes, because Delaware is the legal home of more than half of all U.S.-listed companies, according to the secretary of state’s office.”
