In commemoration of “Food Day,” which Center for Science in the Public Interest has created to “transform the American diet,” we encourage you to take a look at Washington Legal Foundation’s newest project website, www.EatingAwayOurFreedoms.org.  On the site’s home page, we offer our thoughts on Food Day:

“Eat Real” – it’s a catchy, simple credo that Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) and others want us to embrace as part of their inaugural “Food Day.”  Food Day organizers want to “transform the American diet.”

We applaud Food Day and any other effort which educates consumers to eat more home cooked meals utilizing whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, and to limit portion size.

Unfortunately, Food Day’s menu of transformative principles includes not only Eat Real, but also get real.”
