The Washington Legal Foundation (WLF) has one goal: to defend and promote the principles of freedom and justice. Our mission is shared by a network of individuals, associations, small businesses, private charitable foundations, and corporations.
WLF neither accepts nor receives any government grants and our work—litigation, legal studies, and outreach and education—continues only through the essential support of our friends and allies.
Voluntary charitable contributions constitute all of WLF’s operating revenue and there are many ways to make an investment in WLF’s activities. In addition to cash contributions, WLF accepts fully tax-deductible donations of stock certificates, bonds, life insurance, or bequests.
WLF is a non-profit, fully tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization classified as such under the Internal Revenue Code. In accordance with IRS charitable regulations, WLF does not provide its supporters with any goods or services.
WLF is fully eligible for matching gift programs established by many companies to increase the value of charitable contributions from their employees.
All contributions to WLF are strictly confidential and protected from disclosure by law. WLF does not disclose, publish, or trade the names of its donors to anyone.
